SYNC’s annoyance

Did I mention that SYNC gets really annoying sometimes?

This is an awesome program – gives you a chance to grab few free audiobooks, no strings attached, just ready to listen. The choices vary, so it’s not always something I’m interested in. Actually, there aren’t that many titles this year that grabbed my attention, so you can imagine how pi… off I was when I saw that today’s “Sin eater’s daughter” was not available in my country… WTF people? Don’t you read the feedback people are sending you each year? Or maybe I was the only one complaining about the no-worldwide book access.

Please tell me I was not alone in this?

So, well… That’s pretty much all you’ll get from me today. It was a really good day… till now. So there will be no BBC Thursday (I had no time to write it today and I’m not in a mood now). I will write today’s post, though because I really need a mood fixer and Funny Friday seems like just the right thing ;).

Oh, and I might have an interesting review for you soon. I was on a rather good training from work today and it so happened the trainer also wrote some books. I won’t tell you more for now, but it will be something different from my usual reads :).

And not I’m going to watch The Martian and feel good about it [actually I’m watching it now, I’m on a first blow-up scene]. Cya next post!

BTW, do you have a mood-fixing movie? I have a few, but today I’m into space and survival.

  1. US, Canada and Mexico only. Yet when I clicked on download (on my phone), it just downloaded it anyway. Weird, but I’m not complaining XD. Have you tried this as well?

  2. This is the first time I’m hearing about this site. I think I’ll check it out, though it’s sounds rather disappointing. So you need a mood movie, huh? My favorite is Office Space. For good mood TV shows, I always go with The IT Crowd or Silicon Valley. All of these are about computers. I’m a bit of a computer nerd, but they’re hilarious and worth checking out. 😉

      1. Oh, good we also have that in common! 😊 Most people ask me if they need to know computers to watch The IT Crowd. I’m a systems analyst, so I can’t help but love my computer shows. The IT Crowd is the best! If you haven’t seen Office Space, it’s like the IT Crowd in some ways.

        1. cool, I’ll check it out 😀

I’ve been working as a localization engineer for few years now. and if you don’t know what it is I don’t blame you 😛 you have no idea how many times I had to explain it 😛

          1. It sounded familiar, but I still had to Google it. So you’re a software engineer? Right? That’s way cooler than what I do. I’m a database guru, but it’s boring waiting for queries to run all the time. My thing is Oracle, SAP, and SQL.

            1. I wish 😉 I pretty much do a lot of copy pasting and moving various file format around
I used to be in databases when I was at college but years of not practicing wiped out my memory

            2. No, from testing I pretty much do only some quality control on final files.
I do a lot of conversions 😉 file preparation and post processing. Sometimes I have to think of a best process to use or how to upgrade it to make our clients happy and our lives easy 😉
