Funny Friday – end of the worlds and immortal bounty hunters

It’s been two weeks since my last Funny Friday, but for some reason, I couldn’t get into writing. But here we are again with two novels. Yes, only two single books. I thought I’d add one more, but somehow it didn’t fit. It’s not going to be a long post [I think].

Let’s start with a two-author story. Two fantastic authors that made an amazing job writing this book. The one and only…

Good Omens

Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

And try to tell me that book’s no good, I dare you!

The lazy or super busy ones had an occasion to listen to the adaptation of this story on BBC Radio. It was a rather good adaptation, so if you’ll ever have another chance just listen to it.

I’m not going to write a review, mostly because I just found some really nice ones on GR and I feel mine wouldn’t be as good, I mean, check out the first paragraph of this one: Jeremy Zerbe’s Reviews.

Why do I love this book? Continue reading “Funny Friday – end of the worlds and immortal bounty hunters”

Funny Friday – geeky memoirs that made me laugh

I’ve promised you these two reviews for a while now and since I wasn’t in a mood to write about the other books that should be on today’s episode of Funny Friday – here they come.

Both of these books got into my hands in audio format. I thought it would be easier to get through the memoirs this way since I don’t normally read this genre. Right now I know I wouldn’t have trouble reading through no matter what format would they be, but the fact that both of these books were read by the authors made them even more amazing!

Since the rule states “ladies first” here it is :D. Plus the cover is really cute (well, it has Felicia on it, so duh!). Continue reading “Funny Friday – geeky memoirs that made me laugh”

Funny Friday – Discworld mania

YES! The day had come to finally praise Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. There are one of the books I wish EVERYONE to read. At least some of them! And at least once ;).

In all, there are 41 books in this series plus several shorter stories and some companion books (like The Science of Discworld). I know, it’s a lot to handle, but they swallow you so easily you won’t even know when you’re reading the next story!

If you’ll check on my Goodreads page you’ll see I’ve marked only 17 books as “read” but it’s only because I’ve read some of them before I even knew Internet was fun :P. Well, just kidding, but It certainly was a while ago and since I don’t remember each and every story so well I’ve decided to only mark the ones I do.
