The new bookish subscription Box for Europe!

Hi guys! I’ve got some awesome news for those of you who, just like me, live way too far from all those fantastic book boxes. I know it will sound like a commercial, but I don’t care because I’m happy that finally someone realized that Europeans also need a piece of mysterious bookish goodness :P.

Here’s a presentation of the Magic Chest by the owner herself!

Magic Chest is a new subscription box, created by Klara, who has blogger about books and ordered countless boxes. She realized that there weren’t many boxes that shipped to Europe and if they did, the shipping costs were sometimes higher than the prices for the boxes. So she decided to create a box which would be for Europeans so they might have the same opportunities to get boxes as those from America.

Magic Chest wants to bring more adventures in our daily lives. That’s why every box contains a fantasy book and 3-5 bookish magical items which make the reading experience that much more exciting. It’s about the journey through unknown parts of the magical world, taking a break and discovering something new every month.

logoThey’re already taking orders for the first box until February 15th. So check out their shop and start your adventure today!

Bookclub Social – guest post

Hi, guys! Today I’ve got something different for you. A kind of request and presentation. There’s this bunch of people who are interested in book clubs and communities that surround them. If you’re willing to help them they will just have a few questions starting with a survey.

Will you help? I did and trust me – it doesn’t hurt ;). And here’s what it’s all about:

Bookclub Social is a research project studying online book club communities to study how members form, communicate, and socialize.  If you are an online book club member, we would appreciate your participation in our survey which should take a few minutes.

We are independent researchers who want to contribute to scholarly research on online communities which we hope to publish as a book. Every precaution is taken to ensure all information is kept confidential. You will be assigned a pseudonym; your name will not be used.

If you are interested in taking our survey, please go to:
