Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggersFirst of all – big thanks from two awesome bloggers, who nominated me: Lu-Lu from Lu-Lu’s rants and reads and Olivia from Brewing up books.

Please visit their blogs when you’re done here 🙂

The rules:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link to their blog in your post.
  2. Answer the questions that the blogger who nominated you has provided.
  3. Nominate ten other bloggers (or up to 10).
  4. Create ten questions for your nominees and notify them of their nominations.

Questions from Lu-Lu

  1. What is your favorite Jellybean flavor? (Mine is Buttered Popcorn…YUMMMM!!)
Green apple! I love the taste, the color, and the smell. It’s fantastic!
  2. Give me three words that describe you.
    sarcastic, procrastinating, smiling
  3. What TV show are you currently obsessed with?
Doctor Who :). Currently, 10th Doctor, right after they found out who River Song really is.
  4. If you could meet any author right now, who would it be? Why?
I don’t know… I’m scared :P. No, seriously I think if I’d met any of my top authors I’d go speechless and that would be it, so we better not meet. There’s also a possibility I’d became a squealing fangirl, soo…. I think speechlessly is better.
  5. What book should everyone read at least once? Why?
Lord of the Rings. Fantastic worldbuilding, friendship, amazing characters, great story, custom created language and many, many more reasons :).
  6. What is the #1 thing you want to do on your Bucket List?
Travel around the world. Or, at least, visit as many places as I can.
  7. How did you get into blogging?
Books. To be precise – NetGalley and one author who sent me a NetGalley invite to review one of her books.
  8. What are you most afraid of?
    Losing my loved ones.
  9. Where is your favorite place to read?
While walking, riding, traveling. Pretty much anywhere outside my home. And why is that? Because my home has a computer. The computer is tempting. It has games, the Internet, movies, tv shows, etc… Evil machine. I love it!
  10. Cats or Dogs?
Cats! [let’s face it I was made to write that by my cat, otherwise I’d regret it! Yes, my lord, I’m going to pet you now, I’m done with the keyboard anyway…]

The Liebster Award

The rules:

  1. Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you
  3. Nominate 11 bloggers that you think are deserving of the award
  4. Let the bloggers know you nominated them
  5. Give them 11 questions of your own

Questions from Senior Reader

1. Why do you blog?

Free books! Just kidding, I simply want to share my opinion about the books I’ve read with others. I do have friends who read, actually, most of them read a lot but we seem to have different reads on our shelves :). Since I have rather small chance to convince them to read the books I have I’ve decided to blog about them and spread the news. And if by doing so I can help some of the authors so be it :). Oh, and did I mention free books? 😛

2. Is it important to you that other people read your blog?

Sure, well it’s not like my life depends on it, but if no one reads what I write then why do it? I hope I’m helping some people decide whether to reach for a book I’ve reviewed or not. I know my opinion isn’t the only one out there, but that’s even better! There are so many people in this world if everyone thought the same it would be an extremely boring existence. Encouraging Thunder Award

encouraging-thunder-awardI want to thank Michelle for this nomination 🙂 You’re amazing!

Please go check her blog at

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post the Encouraging Thunder logo.
  • Mention your purpose in blogging.
  • Nominate others for the award.

My purpose of life… erm.. blogging…

I have to admit that at first it was all about the free books :). When I finally decided to check this mythical NetGalley creature and checked their requirements I decided I can’t simply request books and post my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon, I have to do something more to share my opinion about the books I’ve read. I decided I need a blog.

Creating one was easy. Make up a name (which was very easy), add some custom settings, a nice theme and you’re done.

Creating the content wasn’t that easy. I’m not a writer you see, I have a technical mind and I was never good with describing what I feel when I read/watch something. Luckily the longer I do this, the easier it seems to get. My friend even says I’m making fewer mistakes than I used to :P.

Oh, but I was supposed to talk about the purpose…

When I joined the blogging community I found out that you guys are are fantastic people! You are like an addiction. Once I’ve started I can’t simply stop and leave you guys! Yes, I admit I had some breaks. And I will have some because people need them. Once in a while, you simply need to stop for a while and think, maybe do something else. But after all, we all come back don’t we?

I’m choosing just the two of you 🙂 I hope you’ll have time to do this one:
