Cute and cuddly mystery strikes again :)

Remember these short and fast-paced mysteries I reviewed before? I’ve got another one for you :). One that’s being published today!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

What would you do if you woke up in your bed with a naked dead guy next to you? Without any memory of what might’ve happened? That’s exactly what Kristie has to deal with. Being a good girl and a social worker makes things even worse. How could she end up in a situation like this? It seems she’ll have to find out… with a bit of help from her boss lady, coworker, and two policemen who seem to be glued to their ladies ;).

Yet another fun and light read from D.E. Haggerty. It was just what I needed during these cold days in overcrowded trains. Well… can’t say it’s cold inside a train like this, but there’s the waiting part before it finally arrives.

Anyway, those who read the previous books from “Death by Cupcake” series, already had an occasion to meet Kristie – a young student working in the bakery. This time story is told from her point of view with pink-haired pixie and nerdy bakery owner right by Kristie’s, helping to solve the new mystery. There will be some funny moments, there will be some chilly ones and some strange ones too. All within 150 pages.

Oh, and once again I fell in love with chapter titles :). This time it’s all about coffee, which I find totally fitting to my growing addiction :P. I got myself this curious chocolate-orange coffee lately and I have to say as much as I love the aroma, the taste is a bit too bitter.

Even though there are few things that annoy me a bit in these books, like they guys being so pushy, I still can’t help myself but like them. They are so cute and adorable and these feel like perfect reads during cold evenings. Especially with all the sweets and coffee being all-present.

But there’s also another aspect of this story. It might be just an entertaining read, but the topic it touches is real and there really are women struggling with these kinds of issues and with not much help either. Reading a story like this might not help them, but maybe it will make others realize this issue exists.

I really enjoy these stories and I hope to read even more in the future. They haven’t disappointed me yet and I have a feeling they never will :).
